At Empowerment Therapy, we have combined the best of modern neuroscience and research, as well as the best parts of current therapies, into one innovative approach. We use elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to challange our negative core beliefs that hinder our lives and stop us feeling good:
Changing "I am worthless!" to "I am important and valuable."
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is another well used therapy that we draw from. EMDR is most commonly used to help process traumatic events and reduce emotional responses to the memory.

As well as these psychotherapies, we also utilise Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Using hypnosis within therapy allows us to work together to make significant changes in a short amount of time. While other therapies use only the consious part of the mind to work to change behaviours, thoughts and feelings, hypnotherapy allows us to work with the whole brain. This means the changes you make are so much easier to achieve, can be done whilst relaxing and the changes don't dissapear once you stop therapy (see video below to find out more about how this works).
